1. Raw Material Selection
First off, the raw material. We mainly use two types of plastics for plastic cups: Polypropylene (PP) and Polystyrene (PS). PP is tough, heat – resistant, and can withstand repeated use in some cases. It’s great for hot drinks because it doesn’t deform easily when filled with hot liquids. On the other hand, PS is lightweight, transparent, and has good insulation properties. It’s commonly used for cold drinks.

2. Plastic Pellet Preparation
The raw plastics come in the form of tiny pellets. But before we can start shaping them into cups, we need to get them ready. Sometimes, we add additives to the pellets. For example, we might add colorants to make the cups look more attractive. You can find plastic cups in all sorts of colors, from bright reds to soft blues.
We also add UV stabilizers if the cups are going to be used outdoors. These stabilizers help prevent the plastic from breaking down due to sunlight exposure. 3. Extrusion

4. Blow Molding
After extrusion, we move on to blow molding, which is a super important step in shaping the plastic into cups. We take the parison and place it inside a mold that has the shape of the cup we want to make. The mold is usually made of metal, and it’s cooled with water to help the plastic solidify quickly.
Then, we use compressed air to blow into the parison. The air pressure forces the molten plastic to expand and take the shape of the mold. It fills every nook and cranny of the mold, creating the perfect shape of the cup. Once the plastic has cooled and hardened, we open the mold, and out comes a freshly – formed plastic cup!
5. Trimming
The cups that come out of the blow – molding process usually have some excess plastic around the edges. This is called flash. So, the next step is trimming. We use special cutting tools to remove the flash and give the cups a clean, smooth edge. This is an important step for both the appearance and functionality of the cups. If the edges are rough, it can be uncomfortable for the user, and it might also affect the sealing of lids.
6. Quality Control
We don’t just send the cups out after trimming. We have a strict quality control process in place. We check the cups for things like cracks, holes, and uneven thickness. We also test the strength of the cups by filling them with a specific amount of liquid and seeing if they can hold it without leaking or deforming.
We measure the dimensions of the cups to make sure they meet the specifications. For example, the diameter and height of the cup need to be accurate so that they fit properly in cup holders and work well with lids. Only the cups that pass all these quality checks are sent to the packaging stage.
7. Packaging
Once the cups have passed the quality control, it’s time for packaging. We pack the cups in different ways depending on the customer’s requirements. We might stack them up and wrap them in shrink – wrap for easy handling. Sometimes, we put them in cardboard boxes with dividers to prevent them from getting scratched or damaged during transportation.
We also label the packages with important information like the cup size, material, and any special instructions. This helps the customers know exactly what they’re getting and how to use the cups properly.
8. Storage and Shipping
After packaging, the cups are stored in our warehouse until they’re ready to be shipped. We make sure the warehouse has the right conditions, like proper temperature and humidity control, to keep the cups in good condition.
When an order comes in, we pick the right packages from the warehouse and load them onto trucks or shipping containers. We work with reliable logistics partners to ensure that the cups are delivered to our customers on time and in good shape.
